1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing financebluehub.com, submitting an enquiry form, subscribing to our newsletter or engaging Finance Blue Hub for any service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the website and do not engage our services.

Where you are entering into these terms on behalf of a company, partnership or trust, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity. References to “you” include both you individually and the entity you represent.

These terms apply in addition to any specific engagement letter, advisory agreement, loan documentation or insurance contract you sign. If there is a conflict between these terms and a signed agreement relating to a specific service, the signed agreement prevails.

2. About our services

Finance Blue Hub is an independent financial services firm based in Sacramento, California. We provide advice and arrange products in six areas: personal loans, credit loans, mortgage loans, wealth and investment planning, tax advisory, and insurance services.

In lending and insurance we act as a broker or intermediary: we compare and arrange products provided by third-party lenders and carriers, and the contract for the product is between you and that provider. In planning and tax work we act as your advisor under a separate written engagement.

We are not a bank, a depository institution or a government agency, and we do not take deposits or hold client money. Funds from any loan are advanced directly by the lender to you or to the relevant third party such as an escrow or title company.

3. Eligibility

To use our services you must be at least 18 years old, legally capable of entering into a binding contract, and a resident of a jurisdiction in which we are licensed to operate for the service requested. Lending, insurance and tax practice are regulated state by state; we will confirm during your first conversation whether we can serve you in your state.

Approval for any loan, policy or account is at the sole discretion of the relevant provider and is subject to their underwriting criteria. Nothing on this website constitutes a promise or guarantee of approval, of any particular rate, premium, return or tax outcome.

4. Website content is educational

Articles, guides, calculators, rate tables and other content published on this website are provided for general educational purposes only. They are not personalised financial, tax, legal or investment advice, and they do not take account of your individual objectives, financial situation or needs.

Figures shown on the website — including representative APRs, indicative premiums, timelines and illustrative returns — are examples only and may change without notice. Market conditions, lender appetite and tax law change frequently. Before acting on anything you read here, speak with a qualified advisor about your own circumstances.

Investment risk

Investing involves risk, including possible loss of principal. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results, and projections are estimates based on assumptions that may prove incorrect.

5. Fees and charges

Our fees depend on the service. Advisory and planning work is charged either as a flat fee or as a percentage of assets under management; tax preparation is charged at a fixed fee quoted in advance; insurance is typically remunerated by commission paid by the carrier, which we disclose in writing; and lending may involve broker fees and lender charges, each itemised in your Loan Estimate or credit agreement.

No fee becomes payable until you have received it in writing and accepted it. We will always tell you who is paying us and how much before work begins. You remain responsible for third-party costs such as appraisal, title, escrow, recording, credit-report and carrier premiums.

Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. Late payment may result in suspension of ongoing services and, where permitted, recovery costs.

6. Your obligations

  • Provide accurate, complete and current information, and update us promptly if your circumstances change.
  • Supply requested documents within a reasonable time, since delays in verification can delay or void approvals and rate locks.
  • Read every agreement before signing and ask questions where anything is unclear.
  • Use the website lawfully and not attempt to disrupt, probe, overload or gain unauthorised access to our systems.
  • Not submit false, misleading or fraudulent information in any application.
  • Keep your own login credentials and devices secure when using our client portal.

Providing false information in a credit, insurance or tax application may constitute a criminal offence and will result in immediate termination of our engagement.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, articles, graphics, logos, icons, images, layout and the Finance Blue Hub name and brand — is owned by or licensed to Finance Blue Hub and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws.

You may download or print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, adapt or create derivative works from our content, and you may not use our name or logo to imply endorsement, without our prior written permission.

8. No guarantees or warranties

The website is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law we make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, and no warranty as to the accuracy or completeness of any content.

We do not guarantee any specific outcome: that a loan will be approved, that a rate will remain available, that a claim will be paid, that an investment will achieve a particular return, or that a tax position will be accepted by the authorities. Outcomes depend on third-party decisions, market movements, the accuracy of the information you provide and changes in law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Finance Blue Hub, its owners, employees and advisors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for loss of profit, revenue, savings, goodwill or anticipated benefit arising from your use of the website or our services.

Our total aggregate liability in connection with any service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the greater of the fees you actually paid us for that service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one thousand US dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability under applicable consumer protection law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Finance Blue Hub and its officers, employees and agents from claims, losses, damages, fines and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your provision of inaccurate or misleading information, your misuse of the website, or your breach of any agreement with a third-party lender, insurer or custodian.

11. Third-party providers and links

Our website links to third-party resources including lender portals, insurance carriers, government tax websites, mapping services and payment processors. Those providers operate under their own terms, which you should read before submitting information or accepting a product.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, pricing or conduct of any third-party website or provider, and a link does not imply endorsement. Where we introduce you to a provider, the contract for that product is between you and them.

12. Termination

You may end your engagement with us at any time by written notice, subject to any cancellation or notice terms in your signed agreement and to payment for work already performed. We may suspend or terminate services where we are required to by law or regulator, where we can no longer serve your state, where information provided is inaccurate, or where continuing would breach our professional obligations.

On termination we will return or securely destroy your documents on request, except where retention is required by law or professional rules. Sections 7 to 13 of these terms survive termination.

13. Changes, governing law and disputes

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date, and continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from them or from our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your state of residence provides otherwise.

Before commencing proceedings, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by direct discussion, and then by mediation, for a period of at least thirty days.
